TO ENHANCE JOINT COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF MARINE SCIENCES AND AQUATIC BIOLOGY MOU BETWEEN UKF AND SHARJAH INTERNATIONAL MARINE SPORTS CLUB

In the interest of University of Khorfakkan (UKF) to raise the efficiency of educational and training services provided to students in the academic and professional fields, and to exchange scientific and technical expertise specialized in the field of marine sciences and aquatic biology, the University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, The terms of the memorandum stipulated strengthening joint cooperation between the two parties in preparing and presenting applied scientific research and studies in the field of marine sciences, facilitating access to databases, facilities and marine equipment that help in collecting and analyzing research samples for both parties, in addition to training university students and empowering them within the marine training courses organized by the club and contributing to providing suitable job opportunities for graduates of the college of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, and Organizing joint marine sports events and activities and supporting and encouraging various scientific and awareness projects and campaigns concerned with research on microplastics in the seas and environmental mapping. The event was attended Chancellor of the University Prof. Ahmed Al-Shamma’a and his vice prof. Ali Hilal, Prof. Suleiman Mahmoud, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henrik Stahl, Dean of the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, and Dr. Mona Al-Mulla, Director of Public Relations Department. From the club, His Excellency Ahmed Obaid Al-Qaseer, Vice Chairman of the Club, Ms. Hessa Yousef Al Hosani, Director of Communication and Marketing Department, and Ms. Heba Shalaby, Executive Secretary.
