TO IDENTIFY THE LATEST SUSTAINABLE USES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, COMMUNICATION WEEK 2024 KICKS OFF AT UKF

Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Prof.Ahmed Al-Shamma, Chancellor of University of Khorfakkan (UKF), the activities of Communication Week 2024 launched under the slogan "Sustainable Uses of Media Technology and Artificial Intelligence Applications", organized by the College of Arts, Sciences and Information Technology over a week with the participation of a group of researchers and specialists in the media field within a variety of discussion sessions and practical workshops.
The first day included a scientific symposium entitled "Generative Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in the Media" presented by Mr. Fajr Qassim, Director of the Media Sector Development Department at Sharjah Media City "Shams", through which he presented the concept of artificial intelligence and its impact on media practices and prominent challenges. The second day of the event included a workshop on
Media Writing Fundamentals presented by the writer and journalist Ali Al-Zuhri, and Dr. Muhammad Malik, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication from the College of Arts, Sciences and Information Technology at UKF.
Mr. Abdullah Qassim, a lecturer at the Department of Communication, discussed the most prominent principles and creative methods in digital photography workshop. In addition to a scientific symposium entitled "Effective Communication and Crisis Management", in which Dr. Noura Al-Hooti, Coordinator of the Communication Department, and Dr. Sherine Ali Musa, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication from University of Kalba, presented.
Among the activities of the Communication Week was the “Old Photography Equipment” booth, which presented the stages of invention and development of the camera throughout the ages. The event was concluded by honoring the participants and contributors.
