DEVELOPING THE SERVICES OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES, MOU BETWEEN UKF AND UAEU

Out of the keenness of Universities of Khor Fakkan(UKF) and United Arab Emirates’ University (UAEU) to strengthen the bonds of cooperation with various leading educational institutions in the country, and to achieve effective access to the information sources available in the university library, and to provide the best services to students and researchers, UKF Library signed a memorandum of understanding with the libraries of the UAE University, which was signed by Ahmed Zidan, Director of the Library from UKF, and Professor Dr. Naima Al Hosani, Acting Director of the Deanship of University Libraries from UAEU. The MoU aims to share information sources through lending services, exchange of articles and documents of interest to both parties, facilitate access to services provided by university libraries to students, faculty members and researchers from both universities, cooperate in the field of training and professional development for library staff and raise their efficiency, organize joint scientific and cultural workshops and seminars, in addition to supporting the creation, collection, preservation and distribution of information as permitted under use licenses and copyright laws. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Ali Al Naqbi, Vice Chancellor of UKF, and his accompanying delegation, and a number of library staff from UAE University.
