With the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences in the field of tourism, The College of Arts, Sciences, and Information Technology organized a seminar entitled "Required Skills for a Career in Tourism”. The seminar was presented by Mr. Khalid Al-Shehhi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage Khorfakkan branch, and Ms. Bashayer Al-Mansouri, Curator of Hisn. Khorfakkan at the Sharjah Museums Authority in Khorfakkan, In the presence of Prof. Atta Al Mannan, Dean of the College, several faculty, staff, and students. The session was moderated by Dr. Maher Al-Shamayleh, Associate Professor at the College of Arts, Sciences, and Information Technology. One of the aims of the session is to enable students to improve their knowledge and understanding of skills needed in the field of Tourism, and to raise awareness in supporting efforts linked to the protection, conservation, presentation, and rehabilitation of cultural and natural heritage properties.
