University of Khorfakkan continues to strengthen its academic partnership with the University of Exeter through a joint educational program that provides students from the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology with an integrated academic and hands-on learning experience in the United Kingdom during the summer. The program serves as a preparatory stage before students continue their fourth academic year at the University of Exeter, enhancing their academic and research readiness while equipping them with the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in a world-class educational and research environment. The program includes a series of orientation sessions designed to familiarize students with the University's academic and research ecosystem while introducing them to the educational opportunities available. It also features a wide range of scientific lectures, workshops, field visits, and practical activities. As part of the program, students participate in research projects involving the collection and analysis of coastal samples, the application of advanced environmental monitoring and data collection techniques, and collaborative scientific projects conducted within specialized research teams. These experiences enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, strengthen their research skills, and gain exposure to the latest scientific practices in marine sciences and aquatic biology. The program further reinforces the academic partnership between University of Khorfakkan and the University of Exeter, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to delivering a comprehensive educational experience that combines academic excellence, practical learning, and international exposure. It also contributes to preparing highly qualified national talent in marine sciences and aquatic biology, capable of advancing scientific research and supporting environmental sustainability efforts at both the national and international levels.
