UKF LIBRARY WINS “SHARJAH AWARD FOR LIBRARY LITERATURE” IN RECOGNITION OF ITS EFFORTS TO PRESERVE KNOWLEDGE HERITAGE

In an achievement that reflects the pioneering role of University of Khorfakkan (UKF) in preserving knowledge and enriching academic culture, the University Library has won “Sharjah Award for Library Literature” in its 25th edition, under the category of Best Project or Practice in the Field of Specialization. This recognition comes in appreciation of the library’s outstanding efforts in safeguarding the intellectual heritage within its Manuscripts Department, reaffirming the University’s commitment to protecting the national cultural legacy and enhancing its knowledge resources. Dr. Ahmed Zidan, Director of UKF's Library, expressed his pride in this accomplishment, stating: "This honor is a culmination of the dedicated efforts of our team in preserving and protecting ancient manuscripts that date back thousands of years and represent an integral part of the nation’s cultural memory. It also reflects the University’s keenness to support knowledge-based initiatives that contribute to advancing scientific research and preserving human heritage." The Manuscripts Department embodies the authenticity of knowledge and the depth of cultural heritage through the preservation of rare manuscripts using advanced scientific methods that ensure their sustainability and accessibility to researchers and future generations.
