UNIVERSITY OF KHORFAKKAN WELCOMES ITS NEW STUDENTS AT THE ORIENTATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR (2025–2026)

Out of its commitment to preparing students for a successful academic journey, the University of Khorfakkan welcomed the new students for the academic year (2025–2026) through its annual orientation program. The event introduced them to educational opportunities, academic and student activities that help develop their skills, shape their personalities, and prepare them to contribute effectively to national development. In his opening speech, Professor Dr. Ali Hilal Alnaqbi, the University Chancellor, welcomed the new students, emphasizing that the university cares deeply about their academic future and aims to be a turning point in their educational and personal lives. He said: “We are delighted to welcome you to University of Khorfakkan. We believe that each of you holds great potential and a unique vision for your future. I encourage you to make the most of your years here by gaining knowledge, developing your skills, and engaging in activities that enrich your university experience. Our priority is to provide you with a well-rounded learning environment that combines academic excellence with personal growth, so you can contribute effectively to serving the community.” The event included a short introductory film that highlighted the main facilities, services, and resources offered by the university’s colleges and departments. It also showcased the academic and student activities that reflect the rich campus life at the university. During the event, the Chancellor presented special gifts from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of University of Khorfakkan, to the students at the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology who recently participated in the educational program at the University of Exeter in the UK. This gesture came in recognition of their efforts and their honourable representation of the university abroad, and as a reflection of His Highness’s care for students and his commitment to supporting their academic journey. The event concluded with a campus tour, where the new students were guided through their colleges, classrooms, and specialized laboratories, helping them become familiar with their academic environment and preparing them for a successful start to their university life.
