MOU WITH SHERAA, TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

University of Khorfakkan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) to enhance the educational environment at the University’s College of Business Administration and align with the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE’s vision for innovation and sustainable development. The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ali Hilal Al Naqbi, Chancellor of the University, and Her Excellency Sarah Abdulaziz Al Naemi, Executive Director of Sheraa. This collaboration aims to highlight key sectors that drive economic growth in the region, supporting the launch, growth, and market access of startups and new businesses. The partnership includes cooperation with Sheraa's centers of excellence focused on educational technology, sustainability, and creative and advanced industries. The MoU also seeks to provide a stimulating and professional educational environment for students and graduates through joint seminars, workshops, and events aimed at helping them achieve their goals and enhance their entrepreneurial and innovation skills. Both parties emphasized ongoing collaboration in various fields, including the exchange of expertise and experiences, supporting entrepreneurial ideas and research initiatives that focus on measuring the impact of Sheraa’s centers of excellence on the local business landscape, as well as providing access to market data and research on emerging companies. During the signing ceremony, in conjunction with UAE Innovation Month, the "Student Innovation Exhibition" was launched, showcasing a wide range of innovative projects and entrepreneurial ideas from students across various faculties under the supervision of the College of Business Administration. The exhibition featured diverse topics and effective solutions aimed at improving environmental conditions and promoting sustainable development, as well as addressing social issues to enhance quality of life. This reflects the creative thinking of students in the fields of technology, science, and entrepreneurship, and supports the University’s efforts in research and innovation across different disciplines.
