AI IN ENHANCING INSTITUTIONAL PERFORMANCE FORUM AT UKF

As part of showcasing the latest AI applications in administrative and institutional work and contributing to the enhancement of national capabilities and skills across various sectors, University of Khorfakkan (UKF )in cooperation with the Emirates Association for Public Administration, has inaugurated the “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Institutional Performance” forum. The event was attended by Sheikha Fatima bint Hasher Al Maktoum and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Sharjah Advisory Council, along with several thought leaders, experts, and specialists from leading institutions and entities across the country. They participated in the forum’s panel discussions and sessions.
The forum aims to facilitate the exchange of academic experiences and professional knowledge in AI, raise awareness about the importance of AI applications and their role in enhancing institutional work, and provide a unique opportunity for Emirati youth to engage and interact with experts across various scientific and administrative fields. It also seeks to build strategic partnerships, enhance academic and administrative cooperation with local and international institutions, support scientific research and professional development, and foster innovation, thus contributing to sustainable solutions for various challenges faced by AI applications in administrative and institutional work.
In his address, Professor Ali Hilal Al Naqbi, Chancellor of UKF, welcomed the attendees and participants, emphasizing the forum’s importance as it embodies the University’s vision to keep pace with modern technological advancements in institutional and academic work. He noted that the forum provides a valuable opportunity for specialists to explore new technological contributions and applications across various administrative fields, stressing the need to leverage AI applications, which have become crucial in today’s world to accelerate digital transformation in administrative and educational services to meet societal needs.
In his remarks, Dr. Hamed Al Neyadi, President of the Emirates Association for Public Administration, highlighted the vital role of AI in improving institutional performance amidst the rapid digital transformations worldwide. He noted that AI offers institutions advanced tools for precise analysis, enhances performance efficiency, fosters strategic creative thinking, and opens new horizons toward a better future. Dr. Al Neyadi expressed hope for tangible recommendations and solutions from this forum that would enable institutions to harness AI’s immense potential to develop institutional performance comprehensively.
The forum included several panel discussions led by distinguished institutional thought leaders and specialized experts from various sectors in UAE. The sessions covered scientific and diverse topics, including cybersecurity and privacy in AI applications, data analysis and effective administrative decision-making, AI applications in human resource management and recruitment, as well as the ethical and legal challenges associated with AI practices. The sessions also discussed the future of administrative and institutional work in light of emerging technological developments.
