UNIVERSITY OF KHORFAKKAN AND SHARJAH CITY FOR HUMANITARIAN SERVICES SIGN MOU

In an effort to strengthen fruitful collaboration and support ongoing efforts in community service, education, and awareness, University of Khorfakkan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. This partnership aims to develop services for people with disabilities according to best global practices. The MoU was signed by Professor Ali Hilal Alnaqbi, Chancellor of the University, and Ms. Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafie, Director-General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. The MoU seeks to address the needs of community members with disabilities, promote knowledge exchange, and facilitate the sharing of experts and specialists between both institutions. This collaboration is expected to enhance educational and training processes, provide mutual benefits for employees, train university students and graduates, and equip them with essential practical skills for the job market. It also includes conducting research and studies aimed at improving institutional quality for both parties and raising community awareness on issues and rights of people with disabilities. Additionally, the MoU encompasses organizing joint programs, research forums, and scientific conferences to discuss emerging social issues locally and globally. Representing the University at the signing ceremony were Professor Soliman Mahmoud, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Khaled Dganni, Acting Dean of the College of Sharia and Law; Dr. Huda Hassan Alnaqbi, Director of Student Affairs; and Dr. Mona Al Mulla, Director of Public Relations and Media. From Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services included Ms. Mona Abdullah Karam, Director of Khorfakkan Branch; Dr. Asma Mohammed Al Darmaki, Deputy General Manager for Branches and Director of Kalba Branch; Ms. Hamda Bushalibi, Production Projects Officer; and Mr. Saeed Batti Hadeed, Public Relations Officer.
