MOU BETWEEN UKF AND SAA

In an effort to strengthen collaboration between the university and leading cultural institutions in preserving cultural heritage and enhancing the identity of Sharjah’s archaeological heritage, University of Khorfakkan, (UKF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sharjah Archaeology Authority, (SAA).
The MOU was signed by H.E. Professor Ali Hilal Alnaqbi, Chancellor of the University, and H.E. Eisa Yousef, Director-General of Sharjah Archaeology Authority.
The MoU aims to develop academic and cultural fields through the exchange of scientific, professional, and training expertise for mutual benefit. It also facilitates the sharing of studies and scientific research aimed at advancing the field of cultural heritage and enriching applied research that serves the community. Additionally, the agreement focuses on fostering cooperation in organizing programs, initiatives, and joint scientific and cultural activities of mutual interest. These initiatives will promote awareness of the importance of cultural heritage among younger generations and develop methods for its preservation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Soliman Mahmoud, VC for Academic Affairs at the University, and Professor Atta Al-Mannan Jaafar, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Information Technology, along with several deans and university administrators. From the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, attendees included Mr. Saeed Alnaqbi, Director of the Department of Archaeology; Dr. Fawzi Bakhit, Head of the Studies and Research Department; Ms. Amina Al Ali, Head of the Media Department; Engineer Rayana Al Blooshi, Head of Khorfakkan office; and Mr. Obeid Alzaabi, Head of Kalba office.
