Admission tests

Demonstrate English proficiency for your program and confirm your placement. Submit valid certificates or register for the next available test.

English proficiency

Submit a valid test score before you register for courses

Choose one of the accepted exams. Certificates must be current and verifiable.

Provide proof of English proficiency that meets the requirement for your college before course registration.
Upload certificates through the admission system for review by the English Language Center.

Score requirements

Program language determines the score you need. Bring original certificates for verification.

Paper-Based TOEFL	500	Offered by the University of Khorfakkan, AMIDEAST Dubai, and Abu Dhabi head offices only.
International TOEFL	61	-
IELTS (Academic) or IELTS Computer-based	5.0	-
PTE (Academic)	42	Scores 36–41 require enrollment in skills courses at the university.

Policy reminders

Stay within validity windows and be ready for in-person verification.

Certificates older than two years are not accepted.
Students without the required score enroll in the Intensive English Program; placement depends on the proficiency test result.
Original English language proficiency certificates must be submitted to the Languages Institute for verification.
An interview or additional in-house test may be required to confirm proficiency.
