Admission Tests For New Students


English Language Proficiency Test

  1. Upon admission to UKF and prior to course registration, all students admitted to UKF must demonstrate a level of English proficiency consistent with the requirement of their college. Students can choose one of the alternative exams listed below for proof of proficiency.
  2. The certificate must be submitted through the Admission Online System or    to be reviewed and approved by the English Language Center at the UKF.

College of Business
  1. Obtain a score of 600 in EmSAT- Math.
  2. Obtain a score of 1100 in EmSAT- English.
BACHELOR IN LAW
  1. Applicants to the College of Law are required to pass a personal interview with College representatives before admission. * if the student/applicant did not achieve 75 out of 100 in Arabic, English and Mathematics subjects, he/she must achieve the required English proficiency Tests and Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) as below:
  2. Obtain a score of 850 in EmSAT- Arabic.
  3. Obtain a score of 600 in EmSAT- Math.
  4. Obtain a score of 750 in EmSAT- English.
College of Arts, Sciences and Information Technology
  1. Applicants to the College of communication are required to pass a personal interview and those who pass it are eligible to enter the competition.
College of Marine Sciencs and Aquatic Biology
  1. Obtain a score of 750 in EmSAT- Math.
  2. Obtain a score of 750 in EmSAT- Physics.
  3. Obtain a score of 750 in EmSAT- Chemistry.
  4. Obtain a score of 750 in EmSAT- Biology.
  5. Obtain a score of 1100 in EmSAT- English.
  1. Certificates older than two years are not accepted.
  2. Students who couldn't obtain the required score in any of the above-listed English Proficiency tests will be enrolled in an "Intensive English Program" course, in which their English level will be determined by the result of their English proficiency test. All students are placed in the Intensive English program with a recognized Language qualification.
  3. Students must submit the original English language proficiency certificate to the Languages Institute at UKF for verification and approval.
  4. The UKF reserves the right to require students to attend an interview in the Languages Institute. Students may be required to take a further in-house test to ensure their scores are consistent with their English Language proficiency.
