The University of Khorfakkan is composed of the President (Chair of the Board), the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, and the Council of Deans with college Deans. Governance aligns policies, oversight, and operations to UKF’s mission.

Leadership

Structure and roles

How authority and responsibility are distributed across UKF leadership.

President is the founder, highest authority, and serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Board of Trustees holds legislative authority, approves policies, and oversees university performance (excluding daily operations).
Chancellor is appointed by the Board, oversees academic and administrative staff, implements policies, and represents UKF locally and internationally.
Council of Deans is chaired by the Chancellor and includes Vice Chancellors and College Deans.

Councils and oversight

Deans’ Council approves curricula, academic plans, and the academic calendar; appoints and promotes faculty; and oversees extracurriculars, research, and scholarships.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs oversees all academic aspects.
Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs manages financial and administrative functions.
Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs strengthens community partnerships, develops student and staff skills, empowers talent, and sustains alumni engagement.
Legal Affairs Office handles legal matters; Internal Audit and Compliance Office conducts financial audits and monitors violations.
