The Strategy and Institutional Development Department (SIDD) is one of the key institutional departments supporting the achievement of the strategic directions of the University of Khorfakkan (UKF). The Department develops and implements integrated institutional frameworks and methodologies in the areas of strategic planning, performance measurement, risk management, institutional excellence, sustainability, governance, and continuous improvement. The SIDD adopts the UKF’s Vision and Mission and supports the alignment of annual executive plans across academic and administrative units with the UKF’s strategic directions. This ensures that institutional priorities are translated into initiatives, programmes, and measurable performance indicators that can be effectively monitored, evaluated, and improved.
The SIDD also contributes to evidence-based decision-making through institutional performance analysis, progress monitoring, performance reporting, and the provision of improvement recommendations that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of academic and administrative performance in order to enhance the UKF’s competitive position. In addition, it strengthens the University’s future readiness by supporting comprehensive planning, environmental scanning, enterprise risk management, and a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Strategy and Institutional Development Department (SIDD) reports organizationally to the Chancellor and is led by the Director of Strategy and Institutional Development Department. The SIDD consists of two main sections: the Strategic Management Section and the Institutional Excellence Section, supported by specialized and administrative functions in strategic planning, risk management, institutional excellence, institutional sustainability, and administrative support.
The Strategy and Institutional Development Department (SIDD) contributes to building an integrated institutional system that links planning, implementation, measurement, evaluation, and continuous improvement. This supports the achievement of the University of Khorfakkan’s strategic objectives, enhances institutional performance, strengthens future readiness, and promotes competitiveness, sustainability, and excellence in academic and administrative services.
