What we do

Legal compliance and support

Full-spectrum legal services that protect the University and enable informed decisions.

The Legal Affairs Office at University of Khorfakkan is a cornerstone in providing legal support to the University across all areas. It is responsible for ensuring the University’s strict compliance with the legislation in force in the United Arab Emirates, in the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as with the internal regulations governing the University’s operations, with the objective of safeguarding its rights and interests.

Compliance & advisory

  • Ensuring the University’s compliance with UAE laws and internal regulations and providing the administration with specialized legal advice.

Contracts, agreements, MoUs

  • Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding in coordination with the relevant departments.

Claims & disputes

  • Managing claims and disputes filed by or against the University.

Policies and bylaws

  • Assisting in the development, amendment, and implementation of University bylaws and policies, ensuring consistency with applicable legislation.

Awareness & training

  • Delivering training sessions and workshops to raise legal awareness.

Records management

  • Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date legal records.
By carrying out these functions, the Office plays a vital role in promoting an academic environment grounded in compliance with the law, transparency, and sound governance.
